Hola, miren que no dejo de encontrarme blogs de gente talentosa, ahora por medio de Illustration Friday me tope con Rachel Caiano. Ella hace unos collages maravillosos, con trozos de telas y dibujos muy simples sus imágenes son adorables, de verdad me han gustado muchísimo y sobre todo ahora que ando yo haciendo collages también.

Hello, I cannot stop finding blogs of very talented people, this time and through Illustration Friday I found Rachel Caiano. She makes some really beautiful collages with fabric pieces and very simple drawings; the result is just adorable! I really like them, and since I'm trying collage my self I like them even more!

Gracias al blog The Pink Inuit encontré el blog de Merce Lopez en donde podemos ver sus fabulosas ilustraciones, son de verdad conmoverdoras, por lo visto ha ilustrado muchos libros he incluso ha escrito algunos como "Qui es tu?".

Desgraciadamente no encontré mucha información de ella en la red, pero los invito a que visiten su blog y la conozcan por uds. mismos.

Thanks to The Pink Inuit blog I found the blog of Merce Lopez where we can see her fabulous illustrations, they are really moving, it looks like she has illustrated many book covers and has even written and illustrated one which name is "Qui es tu?".

Unfortunatelly I didn't find as much info about her in the web, but I invite you to check out her blog and get to know her by yourselves.

Gracias a los blogs de Tipika y del Recogedor por presentarme a este genial ilustrador, Miguel Tanco. De origen Español, reside ahora en Italia (que ganas de visitarlo no?). Estudió en la School of Visual Arts en NY, tomó un curso 2 anos con Octavia Monaco en Bologna, y también algunos cursos en la Stepan Zavrel School con Linda Wolfsgruber y tiene tantísimos libros hermosos publicados.

No hay mucho que decir de él que no se haya dicho ya, encontré información de el en muchísimos blogs y sitios editoriales, así que vayan a las ilustraciones y lean la muy interesante entrevista que encontré, lean su blog que tiene links buenísimos y en donde nos comparte su trabajo sin reserva alguna, deleitense con su sitio portafolio y vean la lista de todos sus libros.

Que bueno que es este hombre!!!!

Thanks to the blogs Tipika and Recogedor for introducing me to this genius of illustrator, Miguel Tanco. He was born in Spain but lives in Italy (wouldn't you want to visit him). - El libro de la semana

De uno de mis autores-ilustradores favoritos, el FCE acaba de sacar este libro hermosísimo, como todos los de Oliver Jeffers. "De Vuelta a Casa" Narra la historia de un niño que por alguna circunstancia se queda atrapado en la luna pero se encuentra con alguien más....

Las ilustraciones son ya conocidas por su sencillez, y la historia es muy linda. Lo recomiendo ampliamente, ya lo vi el fin de semana en una librería del fondo acá en México asi que creo que ya esta en español. Por alguna razon en Inglés lo sacan hasta el 10 de abril en EU y en Europa me parece que tambien ya está a la venta.

One of my favorite author/illustrators has released his wonderful new book "The way back home". In Spanish has been released by the FCE but and I checked in Amazon.com and it will be available until April 10th.

The story tells us about a boy who is trapped in the moon and somehow he is not alone...

As all his books this one is amazing, with all those colorful and simple illustrations that I really like!

- Ana Ventura

El trabajo de Ana Ventura es maravilloso, ahora que me he iniciado en el collage, ella es definitivamente una fuente de inspiración muy fuerte.

Originaria de Portugal, estudia pintura en la facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de Lisboa y se especializa en grabado en el 2000. Su trabajo ha sido exhibido en grupo y solo desde 1996 y se especializa en la ilustración infantil. En su sitio podemos comprar su magnífico trabajo que también se vende en diferentes tiendas (las cuales estan listadas en su sitio).

Adoro sus munecas, sus colores y los papeles con los que trabaja. Creo que definitivamente me voy a cortar papel...

No se pierdan sus sitios, solo vayan a las imágenes...

Ana Ventura's work is just wonderful , and just now that I'm iniciating in collage she is definitely a great inspiration.

Born in Portugal, she studied painting in the faculty of Fine Arts and the University of Lisbon and specialized in engraving in 2000. Her work has been in solo and group exhibitions since 1996 and it relates more towards children illustration. In her site we can buy some of her works which are also sold around the world (there's a list of shops where you can find it at her site)

I love her dolls, her colors and the papers she works with. I think I will go now to cut some paper...

- Irisz Agocs

Uff, que cosa me encontre mis queridos lectores, el trabajo de Irisz Agocs (gracias al Sr. Gourmet por la recomendación). Ella vive en Hungría y aunque no estudio nada relacionado al arte, digamos que es autodidacta, pero aún así sus ilustraciones son de lo mejor!!!

Realmente me ha dejado con la boca abierta, es tan ingenuamente expresiva... en fin, si quieren conocer más de su trabajo vayan a las ilustraciones, ya que encontré una entrevista muy buena donde nos dice mucho acerca de ella y su trabajo. También podrán encontrar una tienda de sus ilustraciones y mucho más de su trabajo...

Uff, I made such a discovery today my friends, the work of Irisz Agocs (thanks to Sr. Gourmet for his suggestion). She lives in Hungary and even though she never studied art, lets say she is self taught, her illustrations are just wonderful!!!

I'm literally wiht my mouth open, she is so naively expressive... Any ways, if you want to know more about her work just click the illustrations, I found a very good interview where she tells a lot about herself and her work. You'll also find a shop of her illustrations and more of her work...

Este si fue un encuentro maravilloso, el blog del ilustrador mexicano Gabriel Pacheco, quien coincidentemente es un buen amigo mio y padrino de este blog *mi primer post en el 2005 es precisamente de él.

Para contarles un poquito mas acerca de su profundo trabajo, ganó el XIV Catálogo de Ilustradores de Publicaciones Infantiles y Juveniles 2004 del CONACULTA, con su obra Llona y ese mismo año su obra resultó elegida como el primer lugar de entre 500 participantes en el Concurso Internacional de Ilustración de la Asociación Teatrio de Chioggia, Venecia. Aparte tiene ya un buen número de libros publicados como lo son: "El pollito de la Avellaneda" Ed. Kalandraka, "Hago de voz un cuerpo" de la colección "A la orilla del Viento" del FCE, "Circo de Voces" Ed. Alfaguara Infantil y uno de los cuatro volúmenes de "Cuentos completos de Grimm" Ed. Anaya, entre otros...

Como lo he dicho ya una vez, un buen amigo imaginario... un maravilloso ilustrador... y un gran exponente del talento mexicano.

This is in fact a wonderful surprise, the blog of Gabriel Pacheco, who coincidentally is a good friend of mine and the godfather of this blog, *my first post back in 2005 is about him.

To tell you more about his work, he won the first place in the XIV Catalog of illustrators of Children Publications of the CONACULTA in Mexico in 2004 with his work titled "Llona" and the same year his work was also winner of the first place among 500 illustrators in the international contest of the Teatrio Association of Chioggia, Venice. Errede es originario de España; o al menos eso creo por lo que leo en su blog porque en realidad no lo dice su perfil. El dibuja y dibuja y dibuja... creanme que su trabajo es bellisimo y sus personajes también!!!!

The blog of today belongs to one of my most loyal readers, and I have been wanting to talk about it since long time ago. Errede is from Spain, or at least thats my conclusion after reading his blog, because he doesn't specifies in his profile. He draws, and draws, and draws... Believe me, his work is very beautiful as well as his characters!!!
