Edward St. Gorey (Chicago 1925-2000) es el autor e ilustrador de un sin fin de libros que podrian ser descritos como morbidas historias para niños no escritas para ninos. Los textos, las historias y los dibujos son siempre muy obscuras, minimalistas y misteriosas. El tambien hizo ilustraciones para libros de otros autores. Hoy en dia la casa de Gorey se ha vuelto un museo y tienen muchisimas actividades y exhibiciones.
